Sun damage and antioxidants

Are you protecting your skin against the sun? If you do, I like you already!

Protecting your skin against the damaging sun rays is an all-year job. Sun damage is one of the main causes of premature skin ageing so don't wait to start incorporating antioxidants and sunscreen in your daily skincare routine.

According to research, UVA and UVB radiation stimulates the synthesis of melanin and damages collagen, elastin and fibroblasts, leading to photoaging.

Some ingredients that help to fight against free radicals caused by ultraviolet radiation are antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E, ferulic acid and certain enzymes. Using a daily antioxidant serum, such as our vitaminic brightening serum, is essential to fight against skin damage and may supplement the protection activity of sunscreens.

You can find mineral natural sunscreen in the market such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Zinc oxide also acts as an astringent, used in anti-acne sunscreen.
